This policy describes how bite-me(“we”, “us”) handles information you provide when using our iOS app and related services. We keep it short on purpose.
Who we are
bite-me is operated by Jed Britel (sole proprietor, doing business as Bite Me), based in Chavannes-près-Renens, Switzerland. Contact: info@biteme-app.com.
What we collect

We don’t collect device advertising IDs. We don’t track you across other apps or sites. We don’t sell your data.
How we use it
- Provide core app functionality (account, offers, redemption, map).
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Communicate service-related notices.
- Comply with legal obligations.
Sign in with Apple
If you sign in with Apple we receive only what Apple authorises you to share: typically a stable user identifier, your name (optional), and a relay email if you choose to hide your real one.
Who sees your data
Only the providers strictly necessary to run the app:
- Convex: backend database and serverless functions.
- Mapbox: map tiles and geocoding. Coarse location is sent to render the map.
- Apple / Google: authentication providers when you choose to sign in with them.
Retention
We keep account data while your account is active. You can delete your account anytime from inside the app; we erase or anonymise your data within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (EU/EEA, UK, California, etc.), you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data. Email info@biteme-app.com.
Children
bite-me is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect their data.
Security
We use industry-standard transport encryption (HTTPS/TLS), authentication tokens, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected users of any qualifying breach as required by law.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
